About Event

Landfills are the sources of ground water and soil pollution due to the production of leachate and its migration. Leachate is generated as a consequence of rainwater percolation through wastes, chemical biological processes in waste and the inherent water content of wastes themselves. Landfill leachates have been proved to be toxic and recalcitrant, landfilling still remains as one of the main methods for municipal and industrial solid waste disposal.

This seminar aims to provide a platform to enhance the wide range of leachate migration and its impact on groundwater quality in various preventive measurements. It will be very useful for researchers in the area of surface and ground water monitoring.
